There are a hundred reasons why we all tone down our drinking as we get older.
Call it maturity.
Maybe it's a desire to take better care of yourself.
It could even be trying to set a better example.
The REAL reason we don't drink like we used to?
Having a bitchin' hang over AND a 4 year old sucks ass.

Hahahah!! Ahh yes, the hangovers get exponentially worse as we get older and the kids just make everything echo all the more.
I feel for you.
If life's lesson didn't hurt a little we wouldn't ever learn anything.
Been there (yesterday, in fact) - with a four AND two year old.
Not pretty.
Amen! Wish you'd written this last week - would have saved me some pain this past weekend. Trapped in a hotel room at 6:30 AM with a 6 year old and a 21 month old, after too much wine the night before. I couldn't get to coffee fast enough...
Man, I agree with that one! :) And they don't understand that talking in a whisper is just not quiet enough!
